Our Commitment
Genesis World Health strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
We believe that health and wellness information should be accessible to all individuals, regardless of ability. Our platform is designed with inclusivity at its core, ensuring that every user can navigate, understand, and interact with our content effectively.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter or Space to activate, and Escape to close dialogs.
Screen Reader Support
We use semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and descriptive labels to ensure compatibility with assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
Text & Typography
Content is structured with clear headings, sufficient contrast ratios, and responsive text sizing that adapts to browser zoom settings up to 200%.
Media Accessibility
Videos include muted autoplay with user-controlled sound. All images include descriptive alternative text. Animations respect reduced-motion preferences.
Multilingual Support
Our platform includes language selection options to serve users who prefer content in languages other than English.
Responsive Design
Our site is fully responsive, functioning across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices with touch-friendly interactive elements.
Standards We Follow
We are working toward conformance with the following standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the international standard for web accessibility.
- Section 508 — U.S. federal accessibility requirements for electronic and information technology.
- ADA Compliance — We follow best practices aligned with the Americans with Disabilities Act for digital accessibility.
- WAI-ARIA 1.2 — We implement Accessible Rich Internet Applications standards for dynamic content and advanced UI components.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our platform may have limitations:
- Third-party content: Some external links and embedded resources (such as PubMed articles or YouTube videos) are governed by their respective platforms' accessibility standards.
- PDF documents: Some downloadable PDF resources in our education library may not be fully optimized for screen readers. We are working to remediate these.
- AI-generated content: Content dynamically generated by our AI health agents may occasionally produce formatting that is less than optimal for assistive technologies. We continually refine our AI outputs for accessibility.
